Zoo committee’s tour rained out

The zoo committee’s field trip to their stomping ground was trumped by cold and dreary weather last Thursday because it was a little too ominous for a walking tour.

It was Commissioner Gloria Bonilla’s idea to visit the zoo after they talked about how they need more money to upgrade its aging exhibits and will either start asking a group of wealthy, dedicated donors or come to voters for it.

She commented on how they rarely get a chance to get out there and go see it.

But Thursday’s tour fell through and they still have to reschedule their excursion.
