Yellen's nomination to Federal Reserve Board approved

San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank president Janet Yellen's nomination as vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board was approved 17-6 by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. Full Senate approval, expected in September, would give the board a full seven-member complement for the first time in more than four years.
