Yee to be honored for work against human trafficking 

State Sen. Leland Yee, who represents San Francisco and San Mateo, will be honored with the Modern Day Abolitionist Award by the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking.

Yee has authored legislation that would allow courts to seize any property, including homes and autos, used in the commission of human trafficking.

The ceremony is at 5:30 p.m. today at the San Francisco Main Library’s Koret Auditorium, 30 Grove St.
