Wrong answer prods goons to slash victim

A 40-year-old man was walking near City Hall on Saturday night when he was stabbed by two men who had asked what his gang affiliation was, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The victim said he told the men he was not a gang member and that’s when they stabbed him and fled, Shyy said. The man was hospitalized and originally said to be in serious condition, but as of Monday afternoon he was stable.
