Woman tries to burn down SoMa building with Christmas tree 

A wacky woman was watched by a witness as she used a Christmas tree to light a building on fire in The City's SoMa district Tuesday.

7:55 p.m. Tuesday

A 26-year-old woman was caught using a Christmas tree to set a building on fire, police said. A witness reported seeing the firestarter in the act and called police. The suspect was apprehended and arrested.

18th Street and South Van Ness Avenue
9:50 p.m. Tuesday

A 28-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint while he was parking his car, cops said. As the victim was parking, two thugs aged 20 to 30 entered his vehicle. One of the goons jabbed the victim in the ribs with a gun while the other went through his pockets and stole the cash and credit cards from his wallet. The crooks fled on foot.

Union and Laguna streets
1:50 a.m. Wednesday

Two men were robbed, one of which was knocked unconscious, by a fist-wielding brute, police said. The victims, both 22, were approached by a man in his 20s. One of the victims suddenly dropped to the ground unconscious. The brute then went through his pockets and stole his cellphone before demanding the second victim’s phone. The victim complied and the thug fled in a white sedan with two other men.

200 block of Leland Avenue
4:50 p.m. Sunday

A woman was attacked after an argument went sour, cops said. The victim was engaged in an argument with another woman when things got physical. The victim was hit multiple times in the face and body by the warring woman, who fled the scene by car. The victim gave police the car’s license plate number and the suspect was arrested at her home.
