Woman lights tampons aflame, throws them at S.F. building 

A woman was arrested for allegedly throwing flaming tampons at a Lower Nob Hill apartment building Monday night, police said.

Police allege the 29-year-old woman lit the hygiene products aflame before launching them at the residence near the intersection of Larkin and Bush streets.

She was taken into custody around 8:30 p.m. on an attempted arson charge.

Police said there was no damage to the building.
