Woman injured in stabbing in downtown SF hotel room

A woman was injured in a stabbing in a downtown San Francisco hotel room early Wednesday morning, police said.

The 36-year-old victim met a friend on Market Street some time before 2 a.m. and they walked to a hotel where they were joined by someone else, police said. The name and address of the hotel were unknown Wednesday.

The victim and one of the other people, a 26-year-old woman, reportedly started arguing before the victim was stabbed in the buttocks, police said.

She went to to St. Francis Hospital for treatment, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

No arrest has been made.
