Woman forced off bus at gunpoint, punched and robbed in Golden Gate Park 

A woman was forced off a bus at gunpoint and punched in the face in Golden Gate Park on Tuesday before being robbed of her purse, police said.

The 40-year-old victim was ordered by the male suspect off the bus at Fifth Avenue and Fulton Street about 6 a.m. and directed into Golden Gate Park at gunpoint, police said.

The suspect, a man who appeared to be in his 60s, punched the woman in the face and took her purse before fleeing westbound on Fulton Street.

The woman sustained scratches to her face and arms and was hospitalized, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
