Woman attacked with baby stroller while doing laundry in Bayview

A woman was attacked with a baby stroller while she was doing laundry in her Bayview apartment building Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to the scene about 8 a.m. The 52-year-old victim told police she had been in a loud argument with her husband in her home in the 1800 block of Silver Street earlier in the morning that had disturbed her downstairs neighbor, police said. During the argument, the neighbor showed his dismay by beating on his ceiling.

Later, when she went to do laundry in the garage, the neighbor confronted her, police said. The neighbor threatened to hit her with an empty baby stroller. She then dared him to do it — and he did.

The victim was hit several times in the head, police said, but her injuries were considered minor.

The suspect was located in his apartment and arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
