Woman assaults Safeway manager

A woman assaulted a manager at a San Francisco Safeway on Tuesday after he tried to escort her out for bringing her dog in the store, police said.

The woman “was belligerent,” striking the manager multiple times before security got her in handcuffs in the store at 4900 Mission St., police said.

When police responded around 6:10 p.m., they said they saw employees escorting the handcuffed woman. There was another woman trying to release her. The cops took custody of both women. The belligerent woman was cited and released, police said.

“The manager informed the officers that the woman has been escorted off of the property previously for the same offense,” police said.
