Woman assaulted with glass outside Fisherman's Wharf area bar

A woman was assaulted with a glass outside a bar in the Fisherman's Wharf area Sunday, according to police.

The 19-year-old victim was reportedly dancing on the sidewalk outside a bar in the 2800 block of Leavenworth Street about 1:14 a.m. when a man and a woman, who both appeared to be in their 20s, approached and the woman hit her in the face with a glass cup, Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The couple then fled the scene in an unknown direction and no arrests have been made.

The woman was treated at the hospital for her injuries, which were not life-threatening.
