Why isn’t liberal Hollywood being vocal about Syria?

Edward Asner, the prominent Hollywood liberal and former president of the Screen Actors Guild, flat out admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that the reason there's not a bigger anti-war outcry from stars about the Syria situation is because they are scared of looking "anti-black" by opposing President Barack Obama.

The "Mary Tyler Moore Show" star also felt that the Iraq war outcries fall on deaf ears, which created a protest fatigue. Many Hollywood liberals also are disenfranchised with the president.

"I voted for him, but I'm not proud," said Asner. "A lot of people have lost hope -- with the betrayals, the NSA spying ... People aren't getting active because 'Who gives a [s***]?' is essentially the bottom line."
