Come back, Richard Simmons. We miss you.

TMZ raised the alarm Thursday that our greatest living fitness personality hadn't been seen in public for nearly a year. No teaching classes at his Slimmons studio in Beverly Hills. No TV appearances in short-shorts. No word on the long-awaited follow-up to "Sweatin' to the Oldies Vol. 5."

Sources told TMZ that Simmons, 66, is battling depression related to his injured left knee, which doctors have said requires a full replacement. A nervous Simmons has reportedly been putting the surgery off all year.

Wherever Simmons is, he has Internet access and was aware of people's worries on his behalf.

"I am so touched by the outpouring of love and concern I have received today," he wrote on his Facebook page Thursday afternoon, adding that his injury "is keeping me from doing what I truly love to do and that is to teach classes around the world.

"Make sure you keep sweatin'!," the famously effervescent fitness guru couldn't help adding.

LORDE SCHOOLS DIPLO

DJ and music producer Diplo has decided his opinion on pop star Taylor Swift's posterior is important. And lo, justice was swift (Swift's?).

"Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty," the DJ tweeted Wednesday.

After a Diplo fan started a fundraising campaign (it had raised $85 by Thursday evening), Diplo faced a backlash from fans of the svelte singer.

It was Swift's BFF Lorde, though, who got the last word.

"Should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm," the 18-year-old New Zealand chanteuse tweeted. Burn.
