Whole Foods Market Inc. (WFMI) will open its newest San Francisco store at 450 Rhode Island Street in the Potrero Hill District this Wednesday at 9 a.m.
The store, at 42,000 square feet, will be the largest in The City and will include The Spa, the company’s first on-site mini-spa and a street-side, dine-in Market Bistro, also a company first.
The opening will kick off with a bread-breaking ceremony at 8:45 a.m. and will feature a guest appearance by Bay Area chef Paul Bertolli, music, food samples, a gift basket raffle and complimentary reusable Whole Foods Market Green Bags for the first 1,000 customers to make a $25 or more purchase. Funds raised from the raffle will go to the San Francisco Food Bank.
