Who does the boar love — and loathe? Boars gets along well with people born in the years of the tiger, rabbit and goat. The boar has no conflict with the rat, ox, dragon, horse, monkey, rooster and dog. The boar is highly incompatible with the snake, however, as they can’t tolerate each other. And the boar has great difficulty with other boars, as they struggle for dominance.

The five types of boar: Metal boar (1971) is forceful and wishes to dominate others. Wood boar (1935) is skillful and wishes to maneuver others. Water boar (1983) is resourceful and wishes to connect with others. Fire boar (1947) is emotional and wishes to influence others. Earth boar (1959) is dutiful and wishes to lead others.

Characteristics of the boar: The boar is a noble, affectionate, generous and gallant zodiac animal that creates an atmosphere of easy life, free spirit and abundance or wealth. The boar cherishes friendship, carries few resentments and rarely stabs people in the back. Because of that, friends always remain at the boar’s side. Boars love to participate in social events and charitable functions and tend to have lavish lifestyles and indulge in entertainment, parties and eating.

Boar is traditionally a lucky and happy zodiac symbol in ancient China.

YEAR OF THE BOAR

Those born in 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007

It is a busy year for boars. As fire boars compete with other boars for pecking order, boars needs to exercise kindness to avoid unnecessary arguments and getting emotional with friends and loved ones. Boars also need to follow the law, as they will go into a troublesome year in 2008. Boars born in winter could use the picture or statute of a tiger to help resolve issues with other people.

YEAR OF THE RAT

Those born in 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996

It is an energetic, busy and fruitful year. Those born in the year of the rat will get promotions and make quick gains in business. Overwork could be a problem, causing bad health. It’s a big romance year — for getting married, starting a relationship and having a baby. Watch out for triangle relationships or deceiving love affairs. Taking good care of health is the No. 1 priority. Avoid making risky investments or partnerships so as not to lose money. Rats will enjoy fun, party a lot, drink a lot and spend a lot in 2007.

YEAR OF THE OX

Those born in 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997

The ox will worry a lot and become emotional. Many will worry about an elderly family member’s health. Oxen will take a lot of trips this year to relax their minds and let nature wash away negativism. The 1937-born fire ox should take good care of health and avoid accidents. The 1949-born earth ox will have a productive year at work, showing excellent wisdom and leadership. The 1961-born metal ox worry a lot, should avoid working too hard. causing health issues and avoid accidents. The 1973-born water ox travels a lot and makes good money, even though they tend to spend it all.

YEAR OF THE TIGER

Those born in 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998

This is a very progressive year as the boar and tiger are working well together. Tigers should not destroy this positive energy and should watch their tongues.There are a lot of helping hands, excellent opportunities and good contracts being made in 2007. For career opportunities and relationships, always do some research on the risk/reward ratio. Take contracts when they are being offered and ride with them for a goodgain.

YEAR OF THE RABBIT

Those born in 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999

Strong study, research and planning will lead to a very satisfying year for rabbits. Rabbits will spend a lot of money on family needs but need to be very cautious on partnerships and should avoid risky investments, as 2007 is not a big money-gaining year for them. The 1951-born metal rabbit could suffer a lot of stress in career and money matters. The 1963-born water rabbit will travel a lot. The 1975-born wood rabbit will welcome a new family member. Overall, boars give rabbits problem-solving energy to overcome adversity and keep good momentum going into a very good 2008.

YEAR OF THE DRAGON

Those born in 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000

This is a good year for romance, marriage, having a baby and making the right connections with the proper people. Only unexpected health problems or accidents could spoil the success. Be careful in the months of April, July and October for unexpected events. For 1940-born metal dragon, this is a happier and healthier year than last year. Watch for exciting romance and newly born grandchildren joining the family. For 1952-born water dragon, more work and a focus on family happiness will rule. For 1976-born fire dragon, the issues from 2006 will be resolved after July.

YEAR OF THE SNAKE

Those born in 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001

This is a challenging year as the snake clashes with the boar. This conflict will bring snakes a dynamic year of traveling and changes of all sorts. It also gives snakes a lot of issues to deal with, such as money, worrying about their seniors, worsening health, mood changes, etc. Spending a lot of money as well as making charitable donations could help to minimize the risk of getting sick or getting into accidents.

YEAR OF THE HORSE

Those born in 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002

Strong study, research and planning will lead to a very successful year. The boar gives horses a lucky star and plenty of helping hands in 2007. Stronger leadership and getting the right help are the keys for horses to overcome adversity and obstacles. However, horses tend to overwork and ignore their health condition. For 1966-born fire horses, things that were bad last year are still the same in the first half of 2007. They need to do more study and planning and seek expert help. Things will turn around in the second half of the year.

YEAR OF THE RAM

Those born in 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003

The luck is better than last year. The ram is becoming steady, improving and getting promotions. Watch for mood swings and anxiety this year. Stay away from other people’s trouble and don’t get involved with legal issues. The ram tends to worry a lot and feel lonely. Be flexible and wise. Doing more study and meditation and devoting oneself to religion will help to ease that feeling of emptiness.

YEAR OF THE MONKEY

Those born in 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004

Watch your tongue and do not argue too much with people. In relationships, the monkey still feels lonely, as disagreements with people have not been totally resolved. For career and money matters, the monkey has a better performance and greater rewards than last year. The water energy from the fire boar definitely helps the monkey manage its expectations and hence 2007 is a better year than last year. Being more flexible and giving will help to resolve all relationship issues.

YEAR OF THE ROOSTER

Those born in 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005

The lucky star is coming to help the rooster resolve any adversity this year. There may be a loss of elderly family members, so looking after the well-being of the elderly is one of the important priorities. The rooster is also stressed over possible lawsuits and angry over peoples’ criticism. For career, this is a good year for travel as well as a good year for creativity or marketing prowess. For money and investments, it’s a good year for selling real estate or other instruments for a gain.

YEAR OF THE DOG

Those born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006

This is a good year for marriage, exciting romance, a new addition to the family and becoming active in social circles. Dogs may take a new role or a new assignment, or face a challenge in a new environment. To react to the change, dogs will often feel alone as well as easily catch a sick bug (heart, stroke, circulation, lungs and asthma). Be careful of accidents, particularly in April and October.
