Wham-O wins trademark infringement suit

Emeryville-based Wham-O Inc., maker of the Slip n’ Slide, Frisbee, Hula Hoop and other well known toys, has won a $6 million judgement against SLB Toys USA Inc. for trademark infringement, the company announced Friday.

A federal jury ruled against SLB Toys, also known as Manley-Toyquest or Toyquest, in a case alleging willful infringement, intentional false advertising and willful dilution of Wham-O’s trademark for the color yellow for waterslides, Wham-O officials said.
