Weingergate update: 'I'll leave it to your viewers to make that determination'

Congressman Anthony Weiner continued his bizzare media blitz last night, rift with gaffes.

When asked by Rachel Maddow last night whether the picture was his, Weiner answered "I'll leave it to your viewers to make that determination."

Weiner apologized for having been "a little stiff" in his handling of the situation, and added "We're not making a federal case out of this....I'm not sure it rises -- no pun intended -- to that level," he said.

CNN's Anderson Cooper tweets this morning: "For those saying we shouldn't cover the Weiner story, would u feel same way if this had happened to a conservative republican? Just asking?"

Today's headlines in New York: NY Post: "Battle of the Bulge" "Weiner Exposed" NY Daily News: "Weiner's Pickle."

“Think about his wife, I mean, I’m really saddened for his wife,” House majority leader Eric Cantor said this morning on Fox and Friends.

Friend John Stewart took a shot at Weiner last night regarding his "certitute" comment.

Ben Smith notes that Democratic leaders are ready for Weinergate to end, "Watching Anthony Weiner's twitter and press blitz is like watching a Charlie Sheen meltdown. It's amusing, uncomfortable, and not necessary."

A Reuters headline mistakenly labeled Rep. Weiner a ‘Republican.’

Vanity Fair's Juli Weiner writes: On Having the Last Name Weiner, an Open Letter to Anthony Weiner
