Weekend forecast: cool and breezy

Get used to today’s weather, because it’s going to stick around for the weekend.

The temperatures will stay in the low 60s with a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. But the rain this week is adding on to an annual rainfall count that’s already ahead of schedule.

Usually by July the annual rainfall is 22.28 inches, but right now it’s at 23.40 inches.

Meteorologist Steve Anderson said that there shouldn’t be any significant rainfall this weekend, “just enough to get the ground wet from time to time.’’

Subtle winds probably won’t get too strong, but they probably won’t go away either, he said.

The sun might make its spontaneous appearances, he said, but “it just won’t be warm.’’
