Weather could delay flights up to 30 minutes

Domestic flights arriving at San Francisco International Airport today could experience weather-related delays of up to 30 minutes, an airport duty manager said.

The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented a delay program set to begin at 8 a.m. and expected to last until at least 2 p.m. due to low ceilings, duty manager John Ginty said.

The delay program would affect arriving flights coming from locations west of Denver. Ginty said departures will likely not be
immediately impacted.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines before going to the airport.

Oakland International Airport and Mineta San Jose International Airport are not affected by the delay program.
