We have a spending problem, not a revenue problem ... with charts! 

Paul Krugman claims our deficits are driven by inadequate revenues, not rising government spending. He even produces a chart, which you can see here, that goes all the way back too ... 2005. That's not much of a snap shot. The Heritage Foundaiton has just released their 2011 Budget Chart Book which includes this beauty going all the way back to 1960 and forward to 2021. Look at this chart and ask yourself if our deficits are driven by too much spending or too little revenue: And even if we did raise taxes on the rich, as this chart shows, there is no guarantee that higher rates will bring in the expected revenues:
