Washington girls knock off Lincoln 

Five players on the Washington girls’ basketball team scored in double figures as the host Eagles (8-8, 2-0 Academic Athletic Association) beat Lincoln 68-61 in league play.

Brittany Woo led Washington with 15 points, including four in the fourth quarter as the Eagles held off a late charge from the Mustangs to remain unbeaten in league play. Lauren Ishii (13), Tierney Jones (12), Olivia Wong (10) and Rachelle Hwee (10) also chipped in offensively for Washington, which knocked Lincoln out of the San Francisco Section playoffs the last time the two teams met.

Hallie Meneses led the Mustangs (8-9, 0-1) with 21 points.

Kristina Lum led nine Lowell scorers with 11 points as the Cardinals (13-4, 2-0) survived 36 points from Brittney Allen to defeat the Cobras (9-7, 2-1).

Brittney Kelley scored 14 of her game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter as the Griffins (6-13, 2-1) rallied from a seven points downin the final period to defeat the Breakers (5-10, 1-2).

Amelia Mostovoy had 19 points to lead Bay.

Mission 72, Marshall 68

Demaree Hampton hit two free throws down the stretch and finished with a game-high 22 points as the Bears (11-3, 4-0) held off the Phoenix (4-8, 2-2).

Ronell Foster added 20 points and 16 rebounds for Mission, which led by 11 entering the fourth quarter but saw Marshall rally behind the scoring of Lawrence Melton (21 points) to tie the game at 68-68 in the final minute. The Bears then dug in defensively and got three straight stops, sealing the game when Hampton’s foul shots made it 72-68.

Travis Barabin scored 17 of his 18 points in the second half to lead the Bulldogs (13-2, 3-0) over the Lions (6-10, 1-3). Chibuzo Emeka added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Wallenberg.
