Washington airport group makes no decision on hiring Nathaniel Ford

The Nathaniel Ford waiting game will continue — perhaps at least for one more month.

Muni’s executive director is considered the leading candidate for the top post of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, but the group’s Board of Directors made no decisions on his hiring status at its monthly meeting Wednesday morning.

The group conducted an executive session to discuss the possible employment of Ford, but no hiring decisions came out of that discussion, according to authority spokesman Rob Yingling.

The Board isn’t scheduled to meet again until the first Wednesday of April, but there is a chance they could call a special meeting before that to make a decision on the hiring of a new president at the agency, Yingling said.
