Victim of Bayview homicide identified; boy shot in Western Addition

The victim of a fatal shooting Friday night in the Bayview district was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office on Sunday as 22-year-old Henry Tautolo of San Francisco.

Tautolo was found on the unit block of Nichols Way at the Alice Griffith public-housing complex about 9 p.m. Friday, police reported. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

Tautolo was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died.

No arrests have been made and no information about a suspect has been released, police said.

Two boys also sustained gunshot wounds over the weekend.

On Sunday at 6:56 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was found Sunday with a gunshot wound to his arm near Ingalls Street and Northridge Avenue. He was at a bus stop when two male suspects opened fire at the bus stop, police said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General. His condition was not known.

On Saturday afternoon about 4 p.m., a boy was shot on the 1500 block of Eddy Street in the Western Addition, police said. Responding officers found the boy, whose age was not released, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, Esparza said. The boy survived and was hospitalized, but his condition on Sunday was unknown.

Preliminary information indicated the boy had been chased by another boy, who then shot him, Esparza said. The suspect then fled and has not been found by police.

Police have requested witnesses or anyone with information about either shooting to call the department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
