The USF women’s basketball team signed three junior college standouts to complete its 2007-08 recruiting class. Forward Necolia Simmons, who played at San Joaquin College, averaged 16.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in leading her team to the California junior college quarterfinals. Other local recruits include Ohlone College’s Danesha Wright and Ceciley Johnson. Wright, a guard, averaged 20.5 points and was an All-NorCal first-team selection. Johnson, a center who graduated from Albany High School, averaged 13.3 points and 10.3 rebounds.
