USF stumbles in Portland

Despite home runs from Jonathan Norfolk and Derek Poppert, USF dropped a 5-3 decision to host Portland in a West Coast Conference baseball game. Norfolk and Poppert helped stake the Dons (20-20, 3-7 WCC) to a 3-1 lead entering the bottom of the sixth. But the Pilots (16-20, 3-7) scored twice in the sixth to tie it and twice in the eighth to earn the win.
