U.S. women’s soccer to play in San Jose 

The U.S. women’s soccer team will play Japan in San Jose on July 28 as part of a set of exhibition games before it heads to the World Cup. Team USA will also face New Zealand and Finland. The Americans meet New Zealand on Aug. 12 at Chicago and Finland on Aug. 25 at Carson, as part of their Sendoff Series, the U.S. Soccer Federation said. The Women’s World Cup is scheduled for Sept. 10-30 in China. The draw is set for Sunday in Wuhan. For tickets, go to www.ussoccer.com.
