Union boss Trumka hurls at White House

Trumka: Yeah! Felt good.

President Obama was convening his economic advisers in the historic Roosevelt Room Friday, when AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka delivered a pungent rejoinder to what Obama once called "fat-cat" bankers -- by puking (we assume eloquently) and missing the meeting.

Heaven forfend!

Trumka is among a group of outside heavyweights who gather occasionally to talk economic issues with the president. News of his indelicacy spread around the press room Friday afternoon, and CNN got the story up first:

"While President Trumka is sick of big banks fighting Wall Street reform this was in no way related to that," AFL-CIO spokesman Eddie Vale joked to CNN. "He just had a stomach bug and is now resting so he can get ready for his next fight."

Thanks for the warning.
