Unconscious surfer recovered from San Francisco's Ocean Beach 

A male surfer was brought in unconscious from the waves at Ocean Beach on Wednesday afternoon, according to San Francisco Fire officials.

The surfer, who has not yet been identified, was spotted by someone before the fire department arrived at the beach and brought in just after 1 p.m., according to fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge.

Paramedics were conducting CPR, Talmadge said. He was transported to the University of California, San Francisco.

His condition is unknown.
