Two women victims of separate, chilling burglaries Tuesday

Two women were victims in two separate and chilling burglaries Tuesday, police said.

The first incident happened in the early morning near City College of San Francisco. A 52-year-old woman was in her bathroom in the first block of Harold Street about 8:20 a.m. when she heard a knock on the bathroom door, police said. She told police she was scared so she did not answer.

The woman then heard the crook going through her stuff, police said. At that point, the woman exited the bathroom and announced herself. That apparently startled the crook, who fled to a waiting black sedan.

Nothing was stolen in the incident.

The second burglary, which was in the Mission, was even creepier.

A 28-year-old woman put her baby to bed in the baby's room in her residence in the 2100 block of Mission Street about 5:30 p.m. and left her phone and wallet in the room as well, police said.

When she returned, her phone and wallet were gone and the bedroom window was open.

The baby was reportedly undisturbed.
