Two injured in separate overnight Oakland shootings 

Two people were injured in separate shootings in Oakland overnight, but both are expected to survive, an Oakland police officer said.

The first shooting happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday when police were called to the 3400 block of Chestnut Street.

The victim was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

The second shooting was reported at 12:45 a.m. today across town in the 1600 block of 14th Avenue.



The victim in the second shooting drove to the hospital for treatment and was also in stable condition.
