Two arrested in Bayview shooting charged by DA’s office

Two people arrested Monday related to a Bayview shooting were charged by the District Attorney's Office on Thursday, spokesman Alex Bastian said.

Jose Granados, 24, of San Francisco, faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of firing into an occupied vehicle, two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, one count of evading police, one count of carrying a loaded firearm and a count of child endangerment, all felony charges, Bastian said.

Karen Garcia-Flores, 23, of San Francisco, was charged with one count of felony child endangerment and a misdemeanor count of giving false information to a police officer.

The two were arrested Monday night after Granados allegedly shot into another vehicle in the area of Jennings Street and Gilman Avenue. The victim in the shooting was not seriously injured and drove himself to the hospital.

After a brief police pursuit, Granados and Garcia-Flores were taken into custody on a ramp of Interstate 280 near Cesar Chavez Street. When officers apprehended them, they noticed there was a toddler in the back seat. Garcia-Flores is reportedly the child's mother.

They will be arraigned Monday. Granados is being held without bail and Garcia-Flores is being held on $150,000 bail, according to the San Francisco Sheriff's Department.
