Turk St. 32-unit development up for supes vote

On Feb. 23, the Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on a development agreement for a redevelopment agency project at 1345 Turk St.

On Tuesday, Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi introduced a motion for the board to hold a hearing and vote on the development in the Fillmore.

The project is part of the Redevelopment Agency’s affordable housing program, he said. It will include 32 units of affordable housing, including 17 two-bedroom units and eight three-bedroom units. The living units are meant for “working families and individuals earning between 70 and 100 percent of the area median income.”

The development is located behind the Muni substation, which is undergoing renovation.
