Transportation agency responsible with finances, audit says

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority is keeping a keen eye on their financials, according to an independent audit.

The Transportation Authority, a county agency that tracks San Francisco’s transportation tax dollars and carries out various infrastructure reports and projects, received a clean audit report from the Macias, Gini, and O’Connell accounting firm.

The firm actually carried out two separate audits on the authority. One was an agency-wide report that found that the TA presented financial materials in an accurate fashion. The other report specifically focused on the department’s work on the Doyle Drive project, and revealed that the TA spent federal dollars on the overhaul in a responsible manner.
