Traffic slow, steady as all lanes reopen on Hwy 101

Commute traffic moved smoothly, if slowly, on U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City this morning after the six lanes that closed for repaving Wednesday night were reopened at about 5:20 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Kroncke said.

All five northbound lanes and the southbound fast lane near Woodside Road were closed at 9 p.m. Wednesday so California Department of Transportation crews could repave about 200 feet of Highway 101 after 2,400 gallons of gasoline spilled onto the roadway from a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, according to the CHP.
