Tourism in tough economy discussed 

The tourism outlook for the rest of 2010 will be the focus of today's Northern California Visitor Industry Outlook Conference.

Among the topics to be discussed at the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau event are the trends affecting travel and tourism in the Bay Area and beyond, consumer patterns in poor economic times and an update on meetings and conventions.

Among the key speakers will be former PG&E chief economist Tapan Munroe.
