Tough luck for alleged 'Rub Me' groper

This creep is definitely no genie, according to prosecutors.

A man accused of grabbing the buttocks of young girls at the Target store in San Bruno while wearing a T-shirt that read “Rub Me For Luck” asked a judge last week to throw out the charges, but was denied.

Glenn Albrecht, a 50-year-old UPS deliveryman, faces child molestation charges in connection with two separate alleged groping incidents Aug. 26 at The Shops at Tanforan. Both incidents were captured on the store’s video surveillance cameras, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

He allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a 6-year-old who had wandered off from her family. A subsequent review of the store’s surveillance footage revealed that Albrecht also had touched an 11-year-old girl on the same day, although that girl did not report the incident.

A life-size doll of a female child was found during a subsequent search of Albrecht’s home, Wagstaffe said, along with child pornography.

Albrecht is out of custody on a $300,000 property bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a continuance of the pretrial conference, Wagstaffe said.
