Tim Hudson is in and Madison Bumgarner is out of the All-Star Game.

Hudson replaced his fellow Giants pitcher as one of two team representatives for the National League in Tuesday’s All-Star Game at Minneapolis after Bumgarner started Sunday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Major League Baseball rules dictate a pitcher who starts the Sunday before the All-Star Game is not eligible to play in the game.

For Hudson, it will be his fourth All-Star appearance. The first-year Giant, who signed as a free agent in the offseason, is 7-6 with a 2.87 ERA.

Right fielder Hunter Pence was picked as a reserve.
