Thugs can hear you now — after working all hours stealing cellphones

Hold onto your cellphones — brutal thugs hunted from morning till night Wednesday.

Men and women of all ages were roughed up and robbed citywide from as early as 8:30 a.m. till 10:30 p.m., according to San Francisco police.

The first robbery occurred in Glen Park around 8:30 a.m. Two men in their early 20s grabbed a 27-year-old man’s iPhone and headphones and fled. The victim gave chase, but was pistol-whipped by one of the thugs. To make matters worse, the other thug punched him in the face, police said.

Around 7:30 p.m., a 17-year-old walking near Turk and Jones streets was attacked by a thug in his 20s, who proceeded to steal his iPhone, police said. At the same time across town in Merced Heights, a 24-year-old man lost his cellphone to a knife-wielding thug, also in his 20s, cops said. The suspect in that case fled in a black 4-door car.

About two hours later in the Bayview district, a 34-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint at 22nd and Minnesota streets, cops said. A man, aged 25 to 35 years old, snuck up from behind and grabbed her purse. She resisted until the brute pulled out a gun. He took her purse, which contained a cellphone, passport and cash.

Another robbery occurred in the Bayview around the same time, cops said. In this instance a 56-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint at Bowdoin and Gaven streets around 10:30 p.m., police said. The thug pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded his backpack. The victim complied and the thief fled on foot. The victim lost his backpack, cellphone, wallet and cash.

There have been no arrests made in any of the robberies, police said.
