Three men robbed when drug deal goes bad in the Western Addition

Three men were robbed in a drug deal that went south in the Western Addition on Sunday, police said Tuesday.

The three victims, two aged 25 and one 19, met up with the suspects near O'Farrell and Beideman streets about 7 p.m. reportedly for a drug transaction, police said.

However, one of the suspects, described as a man in his 20s, struck one of the victims in the eye with a handgun before both suspects robbed all three men of their cash, keys, wallets and cellphones, police said.

The crooks fled and were not found as of Tuesday.

One of the 25-year-old victims was hospitalized, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
