Three earthquakes recorded in East Bay 

Some people in the East Bay were awaken this morning by some earthquakes that shook the area.

The U.S. Geological Survey says an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 hit an area about five miles west of Danville at 1:51 this morning.

A second quake in the same area with a magnitude of 3.5 was recorded at 2:02.

Then a third quake with a magnitude of 1.7 was recorded at 2:16.

A dispatcher with the Danville Police Department says police received some calls after the quakes, but have not had any reports of damage or injuries.
