The Daily Outrage: Interior Department grabs $50M from frontline operations 

WHAT: The Interior Department has quietly been charging the Border Patrol millions of dollars to supposedly pay for environmental damage caused by its everyday protection of the U.S.-Mexico border.

WHY IT’S OUTRAGEOUS: The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the Border Patrol, is already paying the Interior Department $50 million for environmental “mitigation” from effects of the border fence.

WHAT’S BEING DONE: Republican lawmakers are calling the payments “extortion” money badly needed by the Border Patrol for its operations securing American boundaries.
