Tenderloin robbery leaves victim naked and broke

A man who just wanted to pay off a bill ended up losing his shirt - and everything else he was wearing.

A 29-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint of his watch, cellphone, wallet and all of his clothing in a Tenderloin hotel on Sunday, police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

The victim reportedly met up with the two suspects in the hotel in the 300 block of O'Ferrell Street about 3 p.m., police said.

The victim told police he had met the suspects through a website and that they were going to help him with a video he was producing, Newman said. He went to the hotel to pay the bill for their services.

One of the suspects, a man in his late 40s, reportedly pulled out a knife and held it to the victim's side and demanded he remove all of his clothing, Newman said.

After the victim complied, the knife-wielding man's female accomplice, said to be in her 30s, went through the victim's pockets, Newman said.

The two crooks fled the scene on foot with their booty, leaving the victim naked in the hotel. No arrests have been made.
