Tenderloin killing 87th homicide in 2007 

A man was shot to death in the Tenderloin early this morning, marking San Francisco’s 87th homicide this year.

The unidentified victim, described by police as a Latino male in his late teens to early 20s, was standing outside near the intersection of Larkin and Ellis streets, police reported.

At about 4:07 a.m., a car pulled up and a passenger fired several shots, hitting the victim once, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, but died of his wound.
