Ten lucky, unique businesses in The City could win grants

San Francisco’s Convention & Visitors Bureau will award as many as 10 grants this year to unique businesses that are found “only in San Francisco.”

The Bureau will award Neighborhood Membership Grants mostly to businesses that are operating outside the traditional tourist areas. Winners will get a complimentary one-year membership to the Convention & Visitors Bureau, including a required $50 setup fee. In addition, winners will get admission to Bureau events, including member business exchanges.

The application is available online at http://www.sfcvb.org/members. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2010. The program is open to businesses operating in San Francisco that are not currently SFCVB members.
