Teen accused of groping girls on Caltrain, SamTrans

Police are looking for more victims in the wake of allegations that a creepy teenager groped three females over a monthlong period on Caltrain and SamTrans.

Fedelino Ruiz, 18, is accused in two incidents Jan. 20 and a third Feb. 22, prosecutors said Monday. He was arrested on Caltrain after the third alleged attack.

In that incident, prosecutors said, Ruiz groped a 17-year-old girl between the Redwood City and Millbrae stations, San Mateo County Chief Deputy District Attorney Karen Guidotti said.

Ruiz was sitting next to the girl and began asking her about sexual experiences she has had, Guidotti said. He allegedly felt her breast and crotch, and tried to kiss her breast and face. Ruiz grabbed her wrist and trapped her with his legs when she tried to leave, Guidotti said.

“When he finally released her, he grabbed her buttocks,” Guidotti added.

In the other incidents, authorities said, Ruiz allegedly put his arm around an 18-year-old woman on Caltrain and a 17-year-old girl on a SamTrans bus, kissed their cheeks and touched their thighs.

Ruiz remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. Prosecutors are asking anyone who might have been victimized by Ruiz to call (650) 363-4636.
