Technical glitch causing Muni Metro delays

A technical problem is causing delays on San Francisco Municipal Railway's Muni Metro system this afternoon, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

Just before 1 p.m., a signal problem was reported at the Church Station, causing delays on all Muni Metro lines, Rose said.

"Service is going to be slower at this point," he said.

Crews are working to repair the problem, and there is not an estimate for when normal service will resume, Rose said.

Five shuttle buses have been brought in to the West Portal station and two at Church and Duboce during the delays, according to an alert on Muni's website.
