Sweet, Sparks file to run in supe races

Lynette Sweet, who was rumored to be eyeing a run for the District 10 seat on the Board of Supervisors, has made it official: she is, in fact running, according to campaign papers she filed. Sweet sits on the BART board of directors.

And, in District 6, Theresa Sparks has made it official by filing papers to run. Sparks is a more moderate candidate, a former Police Commissioner who was appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom to head the Human Rights Commission. Sparks' official filing follows the recent filing of progressive Jane Kim to run in the District 6 race.
