Suspect caught after San Francisco 49ers game

At last Sunday’s 49ers home win against the Arizona Cardinals, Bayview housing cops patrolled the parking lots and made a bust, according to Bayview station police.

Around 3:50 p.m., cops spotted two feet sticking out of a vehicle parked in one of the dirt parking lots on Griffith Street. The suspect then got out of the car, looked both ways and began walking away quickly, police said.

The cops knew the suspect, who has had previous run-ins with police.

The suspect had allegedly smashed a window to gain entrance to the car and is suspected in other parking lot car break-ins that day. While chasing the thief, cops were surrounded by five suspects who tried to stop the arrest, police said.

The suspect was nabbed in the 1000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue, police said. A man who tried to interfere with the arrest was also arrested.
