Supes to help out Mission Community Market

The Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee meets Wednesday at 10 a.m. to vote on granting a temporary waiver of a street occupancy fee for the Mission Community Market on June 19. That’s when a fundraiser is being held to launch the market.  The block party fundraiser will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the market is expected to launch in the summertime and be open Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its location on Bartlett and 22nd Streets. The market is meant to provide healthy foods to those who may not have access to them as well as serve as a community gathering space.
