Supes to consider Music Concourse parking hike

A proposed 75-cent increase to the hourly parking rates and 43 percent hike to monthly fees at the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse garage will go before the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

Mayor Gavin Newsom’s proposal was approved by the Recreation and Park Commission last month. Rates increased 25 cents a year ago.

The new prices are needed because the nonprofit that runs the garage must refinance its debt in 2011.
